Your data, your phone.

The short version: Quran99 does not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal information. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking. Everything you do in the app stays on your device.
1. Who we are
Quran99 is an iOS and Android application developed and operated by Quran99 ("we", "us", "our"), based in Dayton, Ohio, United States. You can reach us at [email protected].
2. Information we do not collect
We want to be explicit about what we do not do:
- We do not require you to create an account or provide any name, email, or phone number.
- We do not use third-party analytics services such as Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel, or similar tools.
- We do not display any advertising and we do not work with any advertising networks.
- We do not sell, rent, or share data with any third party for marketing purposes — because we do not have any data to share.
- We do not use cookies or tracking pixels.
- We do not track which verses you read, which stations you play, or how often you open the app.
3. Information that stays on your device
The app stores certain information locally on your phone so that it can function. This information never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it or back up your phone using your device's built-in backup tools (such as iCloud Backup):
- Bookmarks — verses, chapters, or hadith you have saved.
- Reading progress — the last verse or page you viewed.
- Settings — your selected language, theme color, font size, and other display preferences.
- Favorites — radio stations you have marked as favorites.
4. Location
If you grant the app permission to access your device's location, that location is used solely on your device to:
- Calculate accurate prayer times for your area.
- Compute the direction of Qibla relative to where you are standing.
Your location is never transmitted to us or to any third party. It is not stored on any server. You may revoke location access at any time in your phone's system settings, and the app will continue to work — you would simply need to enter a city manually for prayer times.
5. Audio playback
The app streams Quran recitation and Islamic radio from publicly available stream URLs. When you play a station, your device makes a direct request to that station's broadcaster — we do not proxy or log this traffic. The broadcaster's privacy policy applies to that connection.
6. Notifications
If you enable prayer-time notifications, those notifications are scheduled locally on your device using your device's operating system. We do not send push notifications from a server, and we do not have a list of users to send notifications to.
7. Children
Quran99 is suitable for users of all ages. Because we do not collect any personal information from anyone, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
8. Changes to this policy
If we ever change this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We do not have any way to notify users individually because we do not collect contact information. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
9. Contact
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or about how Quran99 handles data, please email [email protected].
